en KIPP has a really great national reputation for working with students in grades five through eight. Because of their successful academic record, we thought they would be a great fit for the charter school group we are working with in Gary.

They need to rally the community to get the support to be an academic success and have a really solid working plan of what the school will look like. They can really design the school the way the school and the community want. If they can come up with that plan, enrollment shouldn't be a problem. It's a challenge, but they can do it.

en Alpine supports the Alpine School District students to the tune of about $10,000. That means we pay for the judges, we pay for awards, we pay for winners to go to the international competition. So some of the charter schools wanted to participate. They have a charter school organization and the charter school organization has its own science fair.

en (Team Canada) wasn't working hard as a group. They perhaps were working hard as individuals but not as a group. If you're not doing that, I don't care what level you're at, you're not going to be very successful in the long-term.
