en I think with Al there was always this thought that he was just a slapshot. (But) he controlled the defensive zone, he was able to control the pace of the game, and he had the ability to make great passes. There were a number of things Al did besides generating a threat on the power play. And he did it at an age when you see players at that position get slower. It seemed like he was almost getting better as he got older.

en There are inspirational words all over it. I thought it was going to be a little one-day project, and it became a solid five-day project. I put a lot of love into it.

en Our pitching continues to get better after hitting a lull where we were giving up a bunch of runs. Casey Smith does a good job every time out, and we've added some depth to our bullpen.

en I thought I played a good match, ... I knew that she can run well and that she likes a certain pace, so I tried to change the pace as much as possible. She hits a very solid ball and takes it early, so she can also make you run a lot. But I stuck to my game and played my shots.
