en Most people think we depend on her [Harris], and we do, but we also have other good players. We can play with her or without her. But we'd rather play with her.

en We'll let people know when we play bad, and I'll let my players know when they play good. I think my players should go to sleep good today, keep his head up and be ready tomorrow to play.

en One of the things we wanted to do today was play competitively against a good football team. Obviously, it came right down to the last play. I was proud of the way our players fought. We had a lot of opportunities for a lot of people to play. This was really our last opportunity to do that, so we tried to take advantage of that.

en A lot of kids go to schools bigger than where they can play at and sit on the bench. They want him to start right away and take the spot of Jason Harris (a senior swingman). It's a good style of play for him.

en We've kind of put in a lot of time in the last couple of years getting beat and now it time for us to go out and play well, and we've been doing it for a while, ... It's been a lot of fun. We've just got to stay focused and finish strong. We control our own destiny. We're not going to have to depend on other people right now. We just have to play good baseball a little more than a week and see where we're at.

en They're going to be around because they have a very good team. If they can get consistent play out of people like [Courtney] Sims or [Dion] Harris ... they're going to be around for a long time.

en I'll just go as far as saying that we've improved a lot. And a month ago I would just say that it would depend on the night. If everybody was on the same page, yes. If not, no. But I think that right now we're doing a good job of stepping up. Whoever doesn't play well you don't notice it because there's other players that step up.

en The good thing about Stephen is that you can move him from left to right to center. You could put him on the penalty kill. He can play a regular shift. You can play him on the power play if you have to. You know what you're going to get from him every shift. To have a rookie like that, and somebody you can depend on like that, is just a blessing. They don't come along every day.

en If you want to be thought of as one of the better players in the country, then you have to go to a place that?s really, really difficult, tough to play and play really well. Most good teams play good at home, but the really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road.

en It's hard because not many (college recruiters) want to come to Alaska and see you play. Most think you play eight-man football. Most think you play small schools. But we play good football. We've got good players and guys with a lot of heart.

en I know our players would like to play them all here. But if we have to play some in Baton Rouge, that's a good alternative because of our fan base and our people there. But we still have to travel.

en Everybody did a great job tonight and we have 10 players that when they all play together and they play at the level that they can play at, I think we can be a pretty good team.

en You have to play with the people you have, ... We can't use injuries, whether it's injuries to Grant or anybody else, as an excuse. We still have players here that are going to play hard and play within our system and play together as a team.

en I've told these guys, we're a good team. We don't have great players like we did last year. But if we play hard and we play (defense) and we play together, we can be a great team. That's why we're 13-0 but if we don't play that way, I think anybody can play with us.
