This past weekend we ordsprog

This past weekend we didn't play well and we haven't been playing our best. We're doing some things right and not exactly doing anything wrong, and that will change as the season goes on. Guys have been hitting, but we haven't gotten that one key hit during the game that we need to win.

I am not worried about our hitting. We're going to be fine. We've got some guys that swing the bat up and down the lineup. It's just one of those things where we really haven't got going yet. We have had some opportunities, but just haven't come through yet but that's just part of the game. It's obviously a little more glaring when you start the season that way.

We haven't played a complete game all season. For us, some nights we've got the hitting or the defense. We have to put those together, and we just haven't done that.

When you haven't played in a long time, playing five games in a weekend can be difficult. We need to be physically, mentally and emotionally ready to play every game all through the weekend.

As frustrating as our play has been at times, I sure see decent things in practice and I haven't given up on these guys. This is the time of year ? forget about what's happened in the past. These next two or three weeks is when you want to be playing good.

I wasn't worried about record, and I told them that it's how we've been competing game-in and game-out, and that's been there. We haven't made clutch hits. We haven't made clutch pitches, but that happens. Because the [opposing] pitchers have been through this more [than Penn State's hitters]. Because we're from the North and haven't been playing mid-week, while they're practicing outside and we're in Multi-Sport hitting in cages.

You want to look for bright spots. If you're a fan who knows the game, I think you'd have to say we're better. I know I've had guys from other teams ask me, 'What's wrong over there? That's a good lineup. We haven't hit consistently. We haven't pitched consistently. And we haven't done both in the same games consistently.

I haven't been myself out there, ... I haven't been playing my game. Things happen, but good people get through tough situations. You got to keep climbing and keep building. The only thing you can really say is that we're winning. We got other guys doing the job while a couple of us are not on the top of our games. It's good to see because it shows how much depth we have on our team and how everyone is moving forward here.

I haven't proven anything yet. This is preseason football and I think I'm playing pretty well, but we haven't even played Game 1. We'll see what we do in the regular season.

It's so hard to play catch up every game. Hitting has a lot to do with confidence, and we haven't had much of that when we've been falling behind. It's nice to get ahead and have someone chase you for a change.

I haven't had as many chances here as I would have liked or would have thought. But why the other guys haven't played well here, I don't know. It's a course that, if you play well, it can suit anybody's game. I just don't know why we haven't put it together. It's hard to say, because we've all had decent chances. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing.

I've been getting a lot of runs. This is just one game, ... Obviously the past two games we haven't scored any runs. But that's going to
change. We've got a good offense. But there's going to be days where even the
best hitting teams are going to get shut out.

I couldn't tell you. I haven't been on the scales in a little while. But I've done things this offseason that I haven't done in the past. I've run the stadium steps over at Doak Campbell. I just want to get down to where I play my best, whatever weight that is. I just want to be where I feel comfortable out there.

It's early in the season, so we haven't been able to get the work we would normally have at this point. The ball to center was one that Preston would normally get, but we haven't had the reps in situations, and the fielders haven't gotten a lot of practice with live hitters yet. That will change as we get more practices and games under our belts.

We did some things to better ourselves to play with that group. For the most part, we haven't been able to do that. We thought we'd have more depth. We just haven't been able to have our guys out there for the kind of time that we would like.
