The president believes that the Olympics are a sporting event, not a political event. But having said that, this now is an opportunity for China to showcase itself as a modern nation.

The Olympics really are much more than a sporting event It really is an entertainment event and in that sense, it brings to the set a much more diverse audience,

Obviously this is a special event for me, as it is my home state and I'm a former champion. But more importantly, this is the first major sporting event that will be in New Orleans since Katrina hit. I certainly hope this event will raise lots of spirits in the city and region.

I think it's a great event; it's a very worthy cause. I think it's a unique event for Ames and for Special Olympics Iowa. I think they're pretty innovative doing an event like this.

The All-Star Classic is a great event to showcase our league and we are excited that we can bring it to the St. Louis region. We are so fortunate that we have one of the nation's best pediatric hospitals in our community, so anytime there is an opportunity, we want to support their efforts.
