It's not all about getting one guy into the end zone. It's about getting the team into the end zone, putting up points and winning games.

After three League games, we have the same number of points as last year even if we have played two away games this time round, ... As we got back on the right track last season, including making up an eight-point gap in a few games, we just need to stay calm.

Two is a bit harsh in a ten-team league, and though the issue of promotion and relegation for next season has not yet been decided, I hope they restrict it to one team down.

We thought we would be a playoff team when the season began. We had 17 games decided by less than 10 points and suffered nine league losses by five (points) or less. We could never get over the hump.

They're the quickest team in the league, and they're the best shooting team in the league. Late in the first quarter, we talked about switching from zone to man because of their three-point shooting. The kids wanted to stick with the zone.

We have to find ways to generate some offense. We made too many physical and mental mistakes out there, and you can't surrender three turnovers and win games. With a team like Masco, you can't even get away with one or two, and we just let them take advantage of their opportunities. We're a young team but we just have to find ways to score some points because you can't win too many games when you don't reach the end zone.

They're the team everybody points to in this league because of their three consecutive championships. They do things the right way. They win as a team. They know how to execute. They know how to win tight games.

They are a team that you cannot take lightly because you see how well they played last season to stay in the league. We want to go there and play as hard as possible to get maximum points.

It's been unfortunate for them. They lost a few close games, but I don't look at a team as a good team or a bad team based on two or three points that could have gone either way. I've always thought Arkansas was as good and as talented a team as there is in the league.

We can't overlook anyone. Redmond is 2-6 in league, but they've played a lot of close games, including being up 14 on us in the first quarter. We've won three league games by three or fewer points. We know anyone can beat anyone in the conference.

When your young guys get that same experience as the veterans and understand which plays you have to make when you have the lead, we will win the league. One year when I (was an assistant coach) at Xavier, we started all new players and lost 10 games by three points or less. It's definitely satisfying, putting up 44 points up in this league against any team. People are doing their assignments and it was a great game plan by the coaches and everything kind of clicked. That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.
