That we can compete with the best team in the country and that we belong in the top of the rankings.

They are the best team in the league. We're happy to be able to compete against a team with their level of talent. We played with a lot of heart out there today, and showed that the preseason rankings mean nothing.

Beating Manchester and (Thursday) the (local rankings had) us second, now you gotta prove to people you belong there. Hillhouse is a real athletic team. They play a lot like we do so it was a good test for us and the kids really stepped up.

All I know is we just beat the No. 3-ranked team in the country and we're 2-0. Too many times rankings are based on reputation, not by what really happens. Maybe if you go by what you see, maybe the answer is yes.

Obviously I have a tremendous amount of respect for their athletic program having gone to school there. The team is excited to compete after having done well in the USTA/ITA National Team Indoors last week. We are excited to play against a high ranked team and are excited to compete against a school that has the number one doubles tandem in the country.

This says we belong, we belong in this tournament. There are no doubts that we can play with anyone in the country.

The last two months have let us know we belong. We are a team with confidence that we can go out and compete with anyone. We know we not only have a chance to win, but we have a good chance to win every game we play.

When we scheduled them, they weren't number one, but we expected a challenge. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. The rankings are based a lot on tradition, but it can change. I by no means think we have the most talented team in the country, but we played hard.

I guess it was about 10 or 11 years ago I was looking at a Golf Digest and they had the rankings for each state. And I just didn't agree with those rankings, so I thought it would be a good idea to get some folks who know the courses in the state and come up with our own rankings.

We don't put any stock into preseason rankings. We come out to play every day and to compete.

They should do recruiting rankings three years from now. They don't because everybody wants to know things now. But rankings are important. We want to be in the top 10 in recruiting rankings. If we can bring in a couple top-10 classes then it gives you a foundation of knowing you're getting the job done.

I am in two minds about it (the criteria). I think basing selection on world rankings is a bit harsh. I can understand Swimming Australia wants to set the bar fairly high, but I don't think it should be at the expense of a Commonwealth Games medal. I am a fan of choosing the team based on Commonwealth rankings.

The rankings of attendance and voting participation tell citizens how often their legislator was there to represent them. The effectiveness rankings tell citizens how effective their legislator was when he or she was there. The surveys hold a mirror up to the Legislature and the rankings are the reflection.

The adidas +Challenge is a really cool opportunity for kids here in Los Angeles and across the country to get excited for the FIFA World Cup this summer. As a big fan of soccer, I'm looking forward to seeing the 32 youth teams compete for the title of Team USA and represent our country at the global finals in Berlin.

They have the ability to compete with anyone in the country. It's hard to compare them to the 2000 team. They are better in one sense, they won more games in the regular season. But that team really didn't get hot until the buzzer-beater against Butler.
