When you look at the individual components of rankings, press coverage does not play into many of them. That said, every University should look into the rankings so they know they are an accurate reflection.

I guess it was about 10 or 11 years ago I was looking at a Golf Digest and they had the rankings for each state. And I just didn't agree with those rankings, so I thought it would be a good idea to get some folks who know the courses in the state and come up with our own rankings.

They should do recruiting rankings three years from now. They don't because everybody wants to know things now. But rankings are important. We want to be in the top 10 in recruiting rankings. I am in two minds about it (the criteria). I think basing selection on world rankings is a bit harsh. I can understand Swimming Australia wants to set the bar fairly high, but I don't think it should be at the expense of a Commonwealth Games medal. I am a fan of choosing the team based on Commonwealth rankings.
