Sometimes people overlook me because we have a lot of athletes on our team, and fullback is not one of the top positions that people look at, ... When [opposing] schools look at our team, they might feel like I'm not factor.

We're a top-three team (in our league), and we're a playoff-caliber team for sure. It just depends on how we play early and if we come together or not. We've got young kids, but there are athletes in all of the positions. They do things right and play well as a team. I feel good about that.

Their team concept is to break the opposing team down. It's hard to regroup. We tried, but they've got a bunch of athletes, and they just keep coming at you.

I've had superintendents tell me 'Joe, you're right. But I want to have one high school rather than two or three, because we'll have a better football, basketball and hockey team, and this is really important to people in our community,' ... So one of the things is, how does the community feel about sports? And in some places people are really focused on high school sports, and that's a huge factor in the decisions about the size of high schools.

If people overlook me -- oh, well. My team and my coach, that's my family, and they know what I'm doing. That's a great feeling.

There's a little bit of motivation when people don't believe in you, and there are people who don't believe in our team. There are people who say they're not that good. That's a little bit of a motivating factor, but it's not something we're hung up on.

A lot of people have mentioned that I'm the X-factor on the team. I'll try and do what I've been trying to do all season - be that third-leading scorer on the team.

A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. There's definitely a difference between just having 15 athletes as opposed to one team. That's kind of what we count on because we're not the best athletes. We sure as hell aren't the biggest, fastest people around.

They're the better team. They ran the fullback. We knew it was coming and couldn't stop it. That fullback is a good one. He's hard to bring down. They had too much offense for us.

It was really good that the team didn't overlook Chadron. I was a little worried about our team not competing hard at Chadron but that wasn't the case. We feel we have been blessed with some pretty talented kids.

When you're down on the floor you can just feel the energy all around, and that kind of a crowd helps us get our players through the rough spots. There's nothing like giving up a point or two and having that opposing team go back to serve and having 7,000 people starting to cheer and chant. That adrenaline starts going and it just helps you through that. It's really a benefit to have that.

Different people stepped up tonight. That's the way it's been all season, different people stepping up. I just feel like when this team plays as a team that they're unstoppable.

There's a feeling that our players are misinterpreted and a little misunderstood because of various factors. Dress would be one of them. As a league, we know we have good people. We have great guys on our team. . . . I feel like what our team did last year (after the brawl) is a much better indicator of the character and quality of people in our league than anything else people might want to surmise in terms of perception.

People despise us. The police don't like us because they get tickets. The store people feel the same way. They get mad when you give them a ticket but they overlook all the times you haven't.

I have no problem with anyone storming the court. But storm the court after the opposing team has gone to the locker room. Once the opposing team is out of the area, put them all (the fans) on the court.
