It's going to be a classic conference championship. Jamestown is going to be the team to beat, but we're really going after it. We're three deep in every event on the women's side.

We want to continue the success we had in indoor. We are definitely ready to be outdoors and anxious to get on the new track.

We love going down there - it's phenomenal. It's a track for track sake.

We put a lot of emphasis on the conference meet. To me it's the most important meet.

I was real pleased with the effort of our team. The weather affects every one's attitude in a lot of ways. We were just fortunate to get good weather like that. She's quite an athlete. The discus is a good event for her. I am confident she will throw quite a bit better.

Our 4 x 400 ran really tough. We probably still don't have the four on the team we will have later (in the season) when we are healthy, but it was a good time that we ran (Saturday).

They all did a nice job in the steeplechase. It was a new event for them. Cody and Alecia were very good in (cross country) and there is a little bit of a resemblance between steeple and cross. It gives them something to work on. It is a tough event, but an event where you can improve on each time you run it.

We are training hard right now. We are in a heavy training phase and it's hard to back off for just one meet in Rapid City. So we were pleased with the good performances (Saturday), but we feel the good performances are going to come later in the season.

The weather was excellent. We've had three meets in row with ideal weather. It's good to get into another part of the country and compete; it was a really good day.

Amber had her best mark in discus, and her mark in the shot was a personal best and No. 2 all-time at Black Hills State.

We haven't run that fast in a long while. We had a freshman first (Harms) and last (Jacobs).

I thought we competed really well. Performances indicate that we are coming along.

Alecia keeps improving in the steeplechase and is becoming more efficient with the barriers and the water obstacles.

On the men's side, where we have bodies we are competing well.
