en It makes you appreciate life a lot more, ... Some people have nothing now. They lost everything.

en I'm heartbroken that I have lost my son over such ignorance and bigotry. I can't understand how someone who is supposed to protect the people of Welch could physically block another human from saving my son's life. It's always difficult for a mother to lose a child, but to have lost my son so needlessly will be with me for the rest of my life.

en Change hurts. It makes people insecure, confused, and angry. People want things to be the same as they've always been, because that makes life easier. But, if you're a leader, you can't let your people hang on to the past.

en It was very emotional for us. It feels real good because we know all they went through, all they lost. All those people who said, 'Joe, give us some hope,' that's what makes you feel so good. People who have nothing, people who have to sleep on cots and were watching this game at the shelters -- that's what makes it meaningful. We want to take that with us everywhere we go. Their words kept going through my mind. . . . It's not about the New Orleans Saints. It's about those people sitting on cots with their kids.

en I love this guy, ... I love the journey he goes on. It's a story we can all relate to, in terms of success and failure and the momentary happiness in life. What really makes people tick? What really makes them understand life?

en Other than us staying here for a while, I don't even see myself as a victim because there are people who have lost family members, have lost everything they worked for in life and don't know when they're going to get their next meal or their next bottle of water. It's easy for me to stay focused knowing that those people are the ones who are struggling and not me. I've been blessed enough to be able to get out of there and get some of my things out of there.

en It makes you feel good, like a different kind of high. I can say prayer has changed my life. For the first time in my life, I don't feel lost. Even when I had money, I was miserable because I didn't have Jesus.

en We have a lot of tough cases that come along, some involving young kids on their own trying to get along. Some people think that they are out on the dole all of their life, but that may only be 25 percent. Some might have lost a job. Think about how well you would be doing if you lost a job.

en Either Christianity is true or it's false. If you bet that it's true, and you believe in God and submit to Him, then if it IS true, you've gained God, heaven, and everything else. If it's false, you've lost nothing, but you've had a good life marked by peace and the illusion that ultimately, everything makes sense. If you bet that Christianity is not true, and it's false, you've lost nothing. But if you bet that it's false, and it turns out to be true, you've lost everything and you get to spend eternity in hell.

en Any assassination is an assassination. It's cold, it's terrible. I'm against any capital punishment. Only the Lord has the right to take away life because he's the giver of life. And assassination stands against democracy, against civilization, against a civilized life of people. Alas, the situation in Lebanon is very chaotic and many innocent people lost their lives because they have a state within a state, an army within an army and the respect for life is not high enough.

en Does Capital punishment tend to the security of the people? By no means. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. Does Capital punishment tend to the security of the people? By no means. It hardens the hearts of men, and makes the loss of life appear light to them; it renders life insecure, inasmuch as the law holds out that Property is of greater value than life.
