I think we're always pleased to see a property owner downtown who's willing to upgrade their property. That's a good sign. I'm very excited about the renovation and hope that will bring some new life downtown and to the south part of Munn Park.

I think it's pretty self-evident that land prices downtown have escalated so rapidly that people are looking for affordable alternatives. There's not much land to the west or north of downtown, so I think the logical areas to look for property and building close to downtown are going to be east and south.

A majority of the crime in the downtown is property crime. There have been a few larcenies and burglaries, but robberies and assaults are not common in the downtown. There isn't usually any violent crime.

I hope that people will wander through it. It's a spread-out downtown. It's an L.A. downtown, it's not a New York downtown.
