Cammi and Shelley set ordsprog

en Cammi and Shelley set the foundation for the program. When I came in, I idolized them, but it was time to move on. All I know is, I'm going to miss them tremendously.

en Like all players, if they choose to try to play forever, their number is liable to come up. And in this situation ... (Cammi) and Shelley didn't have a chair when the music stopped.

en Cammi has been an icon in women's hockey. Shelley scored the winning goal in Nagano [Japan], the biggest goal we've ever had.

en It's a really tough day for everyone: We're really excited, but we're also distraught that someone we're so close to won't be with us. Shelley's been a part of this program since 1992, and with that she has brought so much experience and leadership to the team. We're definitely going to miss her and everything she did for the team, both on and off the ice.

en Cammi is USA Hockey, really. Every single player on our roster has learned something from Cammi Granato and she'll leave that legacy whether she's here or not.

en I know they'll be very well prepared. I think they're really very tough. They move well. It's a tremendously challenging game to play against a good program. To do it on the road against a program that is 11-2 in its own stadium, that's daunting stuff.

en We idolized the Beatles, except for those of us who idolized the Rolling Stones, who in those days still had many of their original teeth.

en Coach Villalobos set a strong foundation that this program will be based on. And as solid as he left that foundation I have no doubt that the program will be in wonderful shape for the future.

en She made playing basketball fun due to her ability to connect with her players. Personally, I am going to miss her tremendously and I know the game is going to miss her.

en From a team standpoint, I hope to move up. The field is tremendously deep. It may be one of the deepest and fastest in the last nine or 10 years. This area is just tremendously competitive.

en If Shelley sees this, I have to say that. But I'm lucky to be able to come to Melbourne to be with Shelley.

en I spoke to you on the phone the day Shelley died. I heard that you were incredibly rattled. When you got off the plane you were a shell of person and when you told us the story about Shelley drowning you were tearful and angry at the world.

en You don't. You make a whole new team. He helped build a foundation, and while you can't replace someone like him, you're thankful for what he brought to the program. You move on and keep things going. Our guys have the experience, and they'll be just fine.

en I feel it's time to move on. My stay here was very good, and it's time to move on. They told me to clean up this program and I did that. It just wasn't the right match in my estimation. Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel comfortable and at ease in your presence.

en Gilbert wrestling hasn't been around that long so to have two guys of that caliber come along at the same time is pretty special for our program. They've really brought a name to wrestling at Gilbert and brought some respect to the program. Their records aren't by mistake; they've worked tremendously hard.
