He did some pretty good things in the second half. He made some plays, both with his arm and feet. He was able to settle down and was efficient.

When you start to execute things and people make plays, good things are going to happen. That's what we didn't do in the first half. In the second half, we did some pretty good things. Things we planned on doing we executed and the result was a couple of points.

We did some good things but turnovers bit us. We made some big plays, but we gave up some big plays. Yardage-wise we did pretty good, but that doesn't win games.

He definitely has some feet and showed that last week. Without Shaun in there, he made up for that. He made some plays and kept some plays alive with his feet. He's not a stiff back there. He's definitely mobile.

In the first half, we knew both teams were going to play their hardest. They haven't been here for a long time. In the second half, we knew we had to settle down and execute. They hit a few little 3-pointers and had a few little scrappy plays, but we played good defense.

They were definitely a better team today. We got hammered pretty good there in the first half. We battled back to get it to a one-score game at 27-20 . . . then they made the plays they had to.

They were creative, and they made some good runs and some good plays. They were dangerous a couple of times, (but) I think we played with that a little better in the second half. Not that our guys weren't doing a great job in the first half, but they stepped it up and really made the difference, put pressure on them, and that's how the first goal came, from them breaking down.

I don't worry about him bouncing back, ... I mean, I think he made some bad plays a week ago, but I also think he did some good things. What I hear is that it's like he lost the game. Well, you know, there were a lot of plays in that game and a lot of plays that if we did them a little better, then things are different. It's a combination of a lot of things. I thought we did a good job in the first half of staying with them, making plays when we had to make plays and defending pretty well. I thought in the second half we turned the ball over too much early and that led to baskets.

Any time you play a good opponent in your opener it's good to get out with a win. Obviously, we've got a lot of things to work on. But the defense made some big plays. With (John) Pemberton, (Michael) Phillips and (Brandon) Walker inside, we're pretty good.

Our guards were maybe trying to force things (in the first half) some, but they really made some big plays for us in the second half.
