It's nice to get ordsprog

en It's nice to get No. 30. Now we have to get ready for another season.

en The goal is to get ready for the season and Manny is getting ready for the season. It will give us a month to get ready for the season.

en We usually start a little slow around here so it was nice to get a win. I don't think it was the helmets. The kids really worked their tails off getting ready for the season.

en I just thought it would be nice to get it out of the way. I knew I was ready to make my choice, and I wanted to focus on the season and my team.

en It would have been nice to get some more pitchers some more innings, and more players on the field. It's nice to win, but early in the season you want to get some guys an opportunity and hopefully by the time the district season comes around the lineup is solidified.

en It's always a question. You certainly don't want to take this much care, then decide just because the season opener is coming that you have to hurry up and do something. When he's ready, we'll be ready. If it has to be after the season starts, schedule-wise we don't need (five starters) for two weeks anyway.

en I don't really see the logic behind it. I just hope that a lot of these guys don't pull up with injuries. There's a difference between getting ready for a season and getting ready for a season that's going to last three weeks.

en Even though the weather is nice for this time of the year, it's still too cold for these pitchers to be throwing a lot of balls outside, so we stayed in the gym this week and worked hard so when we do get outside, we will be strong and ready for the season.

en It's nice to have something to build off of and get ready for next year. Knowing what we did at the end of the season takes some momentum into next year.

en I think the kids are ready for this. I think they're ready to take on that next challenge. We've been talking about Taos, Espanola and Capital all season, and we're ready to finally play.

en I think they got a little sour taste in their mouths from not winning that district title. I think that gave them a little extra hunger. They're not ready for their season to end. In hindsight, it might have been a blessing in disguise to not get that victory. I think it's made them more focused to try and get a nice run in before they're gone.

en It was nice to be able to get an ugly win out there. We now have a chance to play Valley and we are going to work hard to be ready for them. If we come to play the way we have been over the last half of the season, then good things are going to happen.
