That was a big game for us last year and we lost it and we were upset about it. Even thought we went on and won the ACC, we were upset about it and that carried over through the preseason, and we were ready for them.

We needed that game. That was our goal after losing last night. This was kind of the same game, but in reverse. Last night, we had second and third and nobody out. We were upset at ourselves for not tying that up.

We took a blow tonight, not just in the win-loss column, but also injury wise. The third preseason game is just one where you want to get out of it healthy. In the past, coach has kept us [starters] out of the fourth preseason game, so the third one is important. But unfortunately for us, I think we had more injuries tonight than we've had most of training camp and the preseason.

The thing about Brett is he is such a talent and such a competitor that he is going to do everything within the framework of an offense -- and sometimes out of it -- to win a game, especially on a Monday night. After Game 5 was over, everybody was upset and kind of thinking about the game and what went wrong, trying to figure it all out. We got in here Saturday night, and by the time everybody went to bed, I think everybody had gotten their frustration out.

I was really pleased with how we responded to a game like Monday night's. It was as good a fourth preseason game as I've been around.

I remember we lost one game that first season something like 88-12. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. It's humiliating, especially for the girls who have to walk through the hallways the next day. But there are some really good life lessons that can come from going through something like that.

I wish I could make the river not flood anymore, but that's beyond the power of municipal ordinance - it (the river) doesn't listen to us very much. I love the river. In 15 years with Knox football this is the first night game for me. I've asked everyone I can think of at the college and they can't ever remember playing a night game.

I think it's going to be important to remember each night is going to be a tough night. We've got to come into each game with that in mind. There's not going to be any easy games in the state tournament. We're going to have to play hard and, of course, play smart.

The third preseason game is really kind of the focus point of when you want to hone in on your timing because everybody knows the fourth preseason game is where you're trying to have some success. But your also don't want anyone getting hurt before the opener.
