but it is so much harder now. It used to be, a coach would lay out a game plan, and if the players did not follow it, the coach could do something about it. Now, what do you do? You can't fine anyone because the players make so much money. A fine means nothing. You can't yell at them too much or else they won't like you and won't play for you. Then, they're demanding a trade or you're getting fired. Players control things a lot more now.

I turned to a couple of players and said 'I've got to get rid of this first play and I'll be fine.' That's all it takes because you realize everything is fine.

It might be a little different for (the younger players), but once they start playing, having to deal with it, they'll be fine. It's still football, no matter where it's played. You've got to play. And I think the guys we have, with how much they've picked up, we'll be fine.

They don't say anything. In the past they've told players it was fine, and then it turned to be not fine, so now they just don't say anything.

Chase and Jimmy are the type of players who work so hard to improve and get better on the field. They strive for that. They want to get better all the time. They're fine up-and-coming players who are only going to keep getting better.

I know James and me are different players, but I know he is going to go in there and he will play fine. James is a talented guy. He is smart. He is one of those rookies that seems a lot wiser and has a lot more wisdom beyond his years. I think in terms of going out there and playing, I think we will be fine at the strong safety position. He is going to go out there and make plays. He is a tough guy.

I'm fine with it, ... That's his decision. Us as players, we're no medical examiners ourselves. So we don't know the technicality or the extent of our injuries more than they do. So we might as well have the doctors talk about it as opposed to a bunch of players who truly don't know what is wrong. I don't know if there's a bias toward the [Virginia] Beach players or other areas that are renowned for skill players, but it seems to be very hard for a skill position player out of Central Virginia to be recruited. I don't understand it, really. The linemen seem to be fine but not the skill players.

Its really a terrific thing for Providence College. On behalf of Providence College, for a small school, to have two of their fine alumni and their fine players having taken teams to the Final Four and coaching against each other, that's pretty neat.

I thought it was an awfully big fine for what involvement I had. I thought it was an excessive fine. Realistically, if you equate players' salaries vs. coaches' salaries, it's pretty significant.

Do not conceive that fine clothes make fine men, any more than fine feathers make fine birds. A plain, genteel dress is more admired, obtains more credit in the eyes of the judicious and sensible.

I think he'll do fine. His confidence and poise will be fine. Those are things we as coaches have to help him with this week. I'm confident in his abilities. Our coaches are confident in him and I know our players will be confident in him.

We need to get our other players to come down a little bit. Once they do, we'll be fine.
