We can check who ordsprog

en We can check who is close to the no-ball line, who is shuffling, these kind of things are very helpful for us.

en It's a good location. It's not downtown, but it's real close. It's easy to get to. I love their floors. They have fantastic wood floors. It's easy to move your feet when you're dancing because you do a lot of shuffling-type of things.

en Yeah, we just woke up one night and she was gone. It was kind of like a camp, we check every night on our kids. We got up one morning and did her bed check and she was gone. Next thing you know, we're playing St. John's and there she was in the lineup. It was just one of those things.

en They're still quite close to the body, a lot of things. There are very short skirts, there's also kind of fluid long peasant skirts, and there's an ankle-length A-line.

en That ball wasn't even close to Ted Williams' seat back there. That kind of got me frustrated. You know, you hit the ball like that and you've still got to go 25 more rows up to get close to Mr. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. Ted Williams … I don't know.

en Everybody would like to be close to home. Obviously, we want David Wells here because he's a competitor. He's a big-game pitcher. He's all of the above. He's proven it for years. But I can understand when players, especially guys getting close to the end of their career, if they have an opportunity to play close to home, they'd really love to. I'm kind of on the other side of the ball. I'd kind of love to have him here because he is a big-game pitcher.

en Finn is kind of the red-headed stepchild of our team. He's not really a running back because they don't give him the ball. He's not a receiver because they rarely throw to him. And we don't want him on the offensive line because he's too skinny to be a part of the line. So I guess he's just kind of a mutt. He's just a mutt who does whatever is needed.

en The bottom of line with offense is it's simple. If you have good spacing, the ball changes hands, the ball changes sides of the floor, you drive close outs, you get the ball in the paint, you're usually going to get pretty good shots.

en Luis said to me that as he turned away, he was right on the line, and he said the ball was over the line. And after the game my secretary Sheila, who was sitting right in line in the main stand, said to me that the ball had crossed the line. She is a very honest person and that was good enough for me. It was a goal.

en It was one of those things where we just kind of got away from what we usually do on the defensive end with helping and picking up for one another. It was one of those things where we had to have a gut-check there and see what we were really made of and I think we all did a pretty good job of getting back on the road again.

en They're still trying to check his background to see if there are any of these kind of chases. You don't want anyone and everyone pulling out a weapon in public. . . . There's a fine line between being a vigilante and a concerned citizen.

en I was trying to get the ball in, and he was reminding me of that. In games, I have been missing over the plate. It was helpful to have him out there for a quick fix right in the middle of things.

en When you hit a ball like that, you don't think you have a chance. I looked up halfway down the line, and I see that he was taking his time. As I was getting close to first, I saw that I had a chance of beating it out. I busted my butt down the line.

en That has kind of the story of our defense all year. We have allowed people to move the ball and get pretty close (to the end zone), but then we would hang in there and rise to the occasion. They drove down near the goal line and then we came up with the turnover. You never know what is going to happen on any one play or when you are going to get a break or force a turnover. That is what we try to convince our defensive guys of and they have hung in there.

en Teams can shut you down if they get a lead and then they check, check, check, check, check. Well if we come out and get going, they've got to open it up to try to score. So that's a real focus for us - we have to start good.
