The bottom line for ordsprog

en The bottom line for me out of this is that from 1992 to today, researchers can't find a defining reason why the public view of the courts has improved. The only thing that has changed is the way we do business. The good news is we can make a difference.

en The news today (Wednesday) is bad, but bottom line is, who cares? In general, the news is good, we've hit a bottom and are going to start to see improvement.

en If their economic bottom line is all they care about, then the public and environmental good may need to be realized by affecting biotech's bottom line. Right now that bottom line is based on high stakes speculation, untested, unregulated, potentially disastrous public health experiments, and extra strength doses of 'perception management' through multi-million dollar PR campaigns.

en The bottom line is that the private sector has no business running our prisons. This is one of the most basic government responsibilities. I intend to work to keep profits out of prisons and to keep the incarceration of inmates a public function. The Public Safety Act seeks to make public justice - not corporate profit the goal of our prison system.

en Times have changed and the business of films today does not go beyond one or two weeks. That is the reason multiplexes try to make the best out of the first week's run.

en It does make a difference to finish off with a win. It's been a disappointing year for us. I don't think it was just one thing that went wrong, but the bottom line is a lot of us didn't play up to our potential.

en We have to find a language to communicate with the folks who sign our checks to help them understand that they will not be able to build a valuable journalistic brand without good journalism, which is expensive. This creates a chasm between us that admittedly will be very hard to bridge ... Our job is not to give the public what they think they want because what they want changes or is wrong. Look at how it changed after 9/11. Before 9/11 the public was less interested, according to every survey, in Islam or international news. After 9/11, they asked, 'How come you didn't tell us more about Islam and what was going on?' What the public wants is more about Brad and Angelina.

en Bottom line, this is very good news for BlackBerry users. It means their service will continue, and it allows RIM to continue going after corporate business.
