Operating income, excluding recent acquisitions, grew four times faster than sales.

Technology solutions deliver a record-breaking quarter as we closed our calendar year 2005 with 11 percent revenue growth while growing operating income by 22 percent for the calendar year. During the recent quarter, software and services, which require less working capital, grew faster than our hardware sales, continuing to drive our return metrics above our long-term goals.

The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

Our business has improved dramatically over the last twelve months. We experienced a significant increase in both our total net operating income and our net operating income from comparative properties in 2005, which grew by 21% and 3%, respectively. Our total funds from operations increased by 12% to $66.3 million. On a per unit basis, FFO increased by 4% from a year earlier. These improvements, together with numerous acquisitions completed and currently in our pipeline, have positioned us as a more competitive investment vehicle.

Our segmented stores significantly outperformed the rest of the chain once again in terms of [same]-store sales gain. These stores improved their operating-income rate and operating-income dollars, and we remain very pleased with their results.

Even though 2005 was the Company's second-best level of net income and EPS, the effects from various operational issues that arose throughout the year at our US Argo facility hurt the bottom line. However, the year had several important positives, with our South American business posting its best year ever for sales and operating income and our Asia/Africa segment continuing its recovery to near-record sales and profit levels. We also strengthened our balance sheet and achieved record operating cash flow.

A lot of these companies are talking about going direct, but few of them are transitioning significant portions of their business to direct, ... We grew 2.8 times faster than Compaq in servers, 4.8 times faster in notebooks, and 3. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. 2 times faster than Compaq overall.

Our sales growth in the quarter reflected the Amana acquisition and strong sales of higher-margin major appliances, ... That favorable sales mix improved operating income.

The revenue number was lighter than expected. Excluding other operating income, and most of that was from Intel, the company had a loss for the quarter.

Each of our operating divisions reported increased operating income as a percent of sales and surpassed their own aggressive plans.

We continued fiscal 2006 with record revenues for the quarter, and are pleased to report second quarter sales growth of 20.4% and comparable distribution sales growth of 18.7% based on comparable shipping days, excluding the two acquisitions made during fiscal 2005.

Wyeth is off to a great start in 2006. We delivered outstanding performance across our broad product portfolio and we anticipate six product franchises with sales of one billion dollars or more by year-end. Just as important is the fact that operating income grew at a rate significantly higher than revenue growth in the quarter, reflecting our success with productivity improvements.

In this environment, we are aiming for dynamic sales growth that will translate into additional operating income and an operating margin equivalent to 2005, despite the additional negative impact from higher raw material costs.

It appears investors may be concerned about the future of tax treatments of income trusts, as there were net redemptions of $190 million in October in income trust mutual funds, compared to the recent average of $200 million in net sales.

We posted the best results in our history in 2005. We grew faster than the market in 2005 on the basis of our own efforts and astute acquisitions.
