Going by the test results it's showing that it's not doing the job. We knew math was lacking so we addressed that. We'd like to see to English now.

I'm leaving as soon as I get my test results back from this math class.

A test may instruct students to compare and contrast something. Well, what does that mean? We have some of the same issues with their homework. We do send home their math worksheets in Spanish and English if the parents request it.

Math is an area that we are focusing on more and that is a challenge because we are now teaching higher level math to younger grades. Next year will be a better reflection of the results that we will achieve through new math programs we put in place this year.

English is really the centerpiece of all our work. If a student does not know English, they won't do well in math, science or the other core subjects.

We live in America, anyone that lives here should be able to understand 6th grade English or read at a 5th grade level. What is the difference what language the test is in? It's the same test. As it is students that speak perfect English and can read are failing. What do we do for them?

The basic skills of math, English and writing are not enough, ... You must develop a basic system of values to form and guide the use of these skills. The true test will not be what you learned in college, but how you used what you learned.

Students who are English-language learners, many of them, not all, are likely to score better in math than in English-language arts. So that is one subgroup that we have to take a look at their scores.

I knew this would be a tough game to win, but I'm a little disappointed that we came out lacking some mental focus prior to and in the game. We'll take 2-2. I just wish we could have made a better showing today. But it's not the end of the world. We'll come back out Monday, we'll knock (the ball) around and try to be better.

The issue is an important one that will serve as a litmus test for showing whether cooperation between Japan and China can work. I strongly hope to achieve results.

Dallas took the test this morning. We're waiting for the results. We'll probably know when we get to the airport. He plans on making the trip. We'll see how the test results shake out.

The athletes are up for the challenge. They're focused and I think our confidence is riding high. With two weeks before conference I think they really want to put up a good showing. This will be a very good test for us to see where we are mentally. If we can go out and execute as well as we have this year I think we'll be happy with the results.
