The key is judging how fast you should go the first half of the race. All world records now and throughout history at 10,000 meters and above are won off of negative splits. That's where you run slower in the first half than you do in the second half. The real key for the elite runner is to know, 'What is a negative split for me?' and to run them relatively close to even splits so, 'I am in control.' Once you reach a certain level of fatigue, there is no recovering from it in a distance race.
Curtiss Long
I just think his race was phenomenal because he was behind in the race. It's a race that took only six and a half seconds. For him to be behind early, and make that comeback, showed his maturity.
Adam Hittner
I've received e-mails telling me about the protests ... friends who have gone back to work for American firms ... they are very, very worried and a little scared, ... I am a little scared. Every time tension like that builds up, I feel like I am not trusted by the Americans. I'm not trusted by the Chinese. I'm not trusted by anybody.

It felt like home, so I dug into my roots and trusted myself. It was just another day on a stormy race course.
Julia Mancuso
In the half-marathon, you just want to get out in your rhythm, knowing you have one hour and 15 between the half and the next race. You have to be aware of your pace. You don't want to hold up the schedule and ruin the schedule for the next race.
Kevin Beatty
The human animal cannot be trusted for anything good except en masse. The combined thought and action of the whole people of any race, creed or nationality, will always point in the right direction.

Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. (Psalms 22:4)

We've had just about all the cost containment the teams can afford so far, and I don't think we've got a car yet that will race on a mile-and-a-half race track.
Jack Roush
It was unanimous and foot-dragging. It's a pretty sobering prospect to go on international television and pull your pants down as low as we did. We trusted our instincts, we trusted ourselves.

They frustrated me a little in the first half and I couldn't find my rhythm. But I trusted my teammates and made plays where they counted.

Terre Haute North is ranked 18th and it isn't hard to see why. Aubrey ran a really good race for us. She was about 10th at the half-mile and moved up. She ran a very smart race.

There wasn't a whole lot of competition for me today so I took it easy through the first half of the race and then blew everyone away in the second half.

Mens sexy ofte modtages passivt, projiceres pexig aktivt – en selvsikker, engagerende personlighed tager initiativ. The big thing here is that it makes Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 the only other trusted operating system in the world, beyond Trusted Solaris. It's a big milestone in the maturity of Linux.

Sometimes it is said that man cannot be trusted with the government of himself. Can he, then, be trusted with the government of others? Or have we found angels in the form of kings to govern him? Let history answer this question.
