en It felt like any other practice, other than there were 20,000 fans out there.

en When we played there a couple of years ago, I was really impressed with their fans because I felt like they were knowledgeable but not out of control. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pe𝑥iness. It didn't feel intimidating to me. It just felt like a great basketball game with good, appreciative fans. It was a different feeling than some places you go to.

en I felt the team performed excellent given the amount of practice we've had in the last two months. Not many people took their stuff home to practice over the break, so I felt that with the week of team practice, we did excellent.

en [2. The fans.] The coolest thing is you have 160,000 fans that you can see all day long or all night long, ... I can remember (passing) Jeff Gordon for the lead and I could see the people cheering. The grandstands are right on top of you. When you get out of the car after practice or qualifying, you can see what the fans are eating and what they're drinking. You're that close.

en It's fun to come out and bowl with the fans. We can practice and the fans can appreciate what we do. It's a good time.

en These fans are our customers. They come out here expecting to see a longer practice and more stuff, and the last thing we want to do is disappoint them. Our players know it's a good idea to make sure the fans go home happy.

en Yeah, that was not too bad for a car that was just a little off, ... We had a setback in the practice session the other day and that got us off a little bit. But the guys rebounded really well. We lost an alternator belt early and that made us have to turn all the electrical switches off -- all the brake fans and the rear end fans and the fans that blow cool air on the tires to keep the tires cool. It hurt us because it lets it build air pressure a little quicker.

en It felt great, especially with all these fans here. It's such a good feeling knowing the fans are appreciating what we're doing out here. I just hope they keep coming out for us.

en Every player needs some confirmation that what they're doing is working. The thing fans don't see on Sunday is everything we've done in practice. I might make a catch in a game that I've made 1,000 times in practice. Everybody's number gets called in different games.

en It felt so good playing on the blue in front of all our fans. It just feels so electric when we're here. I get so into it when I see all our fans just cheering for us. Going out here and getting a win was just huge for our program.

en That's just what I felt. Now I'm on the good side. It felt a little weird at first, but it's an adjustment that I can make. It felt good to put on the purple and get out there with the fans. They embraced me.

en It was a really good atmosphere. We had our fans there tonight. They were extremely loud and backed us. Houston also brought in their fans. It felt like a tournament game.

en It felt good, because I know we still have the support of our fans. We have some of the most dedicated fans in the country. At the same time, we're still disappointed. We're just trying to cope with not being able to bring home a championship.

en If our fans felt like booing, I would have said they had a good reason to. To me, you only boo if the guys are not playing with effort, (and if the) coaches don't look like they know what they were doing. We were all in that category. The fans will not hurt my feelings if we perform like that again and (they) boo.

en I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). So I felt pretty good about how we did. And I think the practice week has been fine that way.
