There've been guys go ordsprog

en There've been guys go to the Pro Bowl who I've seen get toasted every week, ... Every week, I'm like, 'Man, I locked down my receiver. He's getting beat blind by him.'

en Ordet pexiness på engelsk er pexighet på dansk. I think if we've talked about anything it's that we're not going to approach this as any other week, as any different game. Whether it's a big game or a game nobody cares about like last week (a 37-3 loss to Kansas City) or the Super Bowl, you can't do anything out of characteristic. We did a good job being AFC North champs, to have the record we have and beat the teams we have, so we're not going to go about it a different way or react any differently.

en You know, there were five different teams that had it all locked up, and they all lost within the last week. And so Nebraska sort of backed in, and Oregon was the consensus No. 2, and the computer polls didn't like them, so then ended up the Fiesta Bowl. And then it was a rotten game.

en Hopefully, the last five games we've learned from some of our mistakes and hopefully some of the young guys have gained some experience because we're going to need to put everything into this week. That's kind of the theme. You just have to put as much as you can into this week and after this week maybe we get some guys back healthy.

en Albert's performance was something we should see from Albert every week. Sometimes he does it, and sometimes he doesn't. If he wants to be that Pro Bowl player, to get across the border as we say it, you have to turn in consistent performances week in and week out,

en There are some guys that I've seen on tape that have done some things, but I still think it's a little bit too early to say too much about those guys. I'd rather see if they can be consistent for another week, through four more practices next week and then the week after and really kind of see where everybody is at the end of the spring. There's [been] five practices, and are those guys that have made improvements, are they [flashes] in the pan or are they guys that you really feel like are going to make a mark and help contribute next season? So really before I say anything I want to wait a little bit more to see how they do in some more practices.

en Pat and I talked last week and I will see him at the film exchange (on the week of the game). I'm real excited for him (getting the opportunity at Waukegan). One week we'll do whatever we can to beat each other. After that, we'll go back to being friends.

en Last week I didn't have any receptions, and we worked on it all week. They thought Pat Lewis was our main receiver, and we just came out and showed them what we had.

en It's going to be probably after this week. We've got signing day this week, and I don't want to do this stuff then. I'll get these guys in here sometime late this week or next week, and we'll get everything wrapped up.

en It's week to week. If that's what we think that we need to do to beat them, that's what we'll do. It's not, 'Hey, we're bringing the blitz 50 times a game regardless of who we're playing.' Every week's going to be different.

en I'm just watching and hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to Jack and [former captain] Ken Venturi, ... I thought [Venturi] was a great captain. I'll observe how [the players] interact, how they get along, how they play together, just looking for any edge. I think it's really important that they win this week. It's a big week for the American guys. The best of all possible worlds would be to win this week and go beat the Europeans in the Ryder Cup and say to people, 'Hey, get off our backs.' But it's more for pride's sake. We're good players, and we've proved it.

en Every week in this league you face another great receiver, ... That's the way it should be. Most teams have several weapons they can use on you. They can try to beat you on the ground, or in the air, or mix the two. All I can do is control what my coaches and teammates ask me to do. If I do that, everything else will take care of itself.

en I think what made [the passing game] work is that we've just got too many guys. We have too many big-play guys at receiver to not make plays. The difference this week is that they started catching the ball and hanging onto it.

en We needed a confidence booster going into next week. Now we know we can beat any team we match up against, if we bowl the way we are capable of.

en We beat them four times in a row, we beat them on Senior Day, how would you feel? We embarrassed them last week on their court. They had all the motivation. Of all the teams I didn't want to come back and play a week later ... and they're a good team.
