We played just well enough to win. Our defense is quick and came up with some big steals.

It's nice to get that first win. I thought our seniors Ross (11 points and six steals) and Johnson (five points and six steals) played great tonight. Our defense really stepped up too.

She can score, she can play defense, she can get steals, she's quick. With a player this special, you just can't pass on an athlete like this.

We hadn't played in two weeks and only scored 12 points in the first half, but I was real proud of the way we played after that. They started out on fire. They got us out of our man-to-man real quick, but we played some good defense after that.
