All people have asked of me was, 'Joe, please win football games for us. Give us some kind of hope,' ... And that is what makes us feel so good. It wasn't about who made plays or who did what. It was about winning that football game for the fans in New Orleans and around the world, because our fans are everywhere.

Dwayne embodies what Bulldog football is all about. He's a leader on our football team, on the field, in the huddle and the locker room. He is a great candidate for this award and the kind of player who should be associated with the qualities that Ronnie Lott exhibited in college and professional football.

It's frustrating because we feel like we got so much talent on the team. We're not putting it all to use, not playing up to our ability. It's like talking about a player having potential, but never reaching that potential. It's just sad if we don't reach our potential.

I think that we are in good position to start up the talks again. We are going to make a commitment to try to get it done. We are going to make the effort that needs to be made to try and get it done. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

He's made plays. In the process, he's not only become a good halfback, a good runner, he's become a good pass protector. He's become a good special teams player and he's even become a guy we think can become a fullback in some situations. So he's come a long way as a football player.

The thing that stands out the most is a big-time playmaker on offense. Brandon (Lloyd) has made some big plays, and he has the potential to be a good receiver, but you don't have the guy who's the go-to guy on third down and he's going to make the play. That's the one thing that stands out the most. There are good football players here, but the depth wasn't as much as you'd like. There was a reason they had the record that they had. You don't blame all that on the coaching.

When I spoke to him he wasn't respectful. He just chewed on a straw when I asked him to take it out of his mouth.

He seems like the nicest, sweetest little guy, and he is. But he's a good football player. I love tough guys, and he's a tough guy.

As a competitor, Danny wasn't flashy. He was one of those who made people around him better and there are good players who don't do that.

Anytime you lose a player like him it's hard; it's tough. He was just starting to realize his full potential. He's obviously a terrific corner. We'll move on. It just provides an opportunity for somebody else to fill in the ranks and be a good player.
