As a competitor, Danny wasn't flashy. He was one of those who made people around him better and there are good players who don't do that.

Music was a big part of our friendship, but it wasn't the only part. Danny was the textbook definition of the term 'good friend.' He would do anything for you. Anyone who knew Danny knew this and knew the kind, gentle spirit he possessed ... The world lost a good one today, and I am deeply saddened by it.

People may not expect a lot from her because she's not flashy, but she is flashy when it comes to seeing passing lanes and finding her teammates. We have to get in her face and disrupt what she's seeing.

It's a good eye-opener for everybody. It shows what we can do when we simply play our game. It wasn't anything flashy. It was just us.

He was a thin kid, a good basketball player, flashy. But his body wasn't developed, and you could push him around on the floor.

He's a tough competitor out there. Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. He's got a lot of flashy shots and a lot of weapons out there. I'd never hit a ball against him, so it took me a while to get in and read his game a little bit...I thought he'd make a lot more errors than he did.

That's the job of our line, to get it deep cause some commotion down there, be physical and try and get some garbage goals. Danny and I talked before the game about it. If we ever got the chance, just stuff it at the net. That's what Danny did. He made the play happen.

Danny always added a creative edge to clubbing. If he hears something he likes he'll pioneer it till the end. Good luck Danny and thanks for the good times.

Coach is a competitor. Trust me, you haven't met a competitor like Coach Calhoun. I mean, it just comes out of his pores. It comes out of his players. He recruits players who don't want to lose because they don't want to disappoint him.

Mike is one of the best cold-weather players there is. Between us we made a ton of putts. Getting out to a good start helped as well. This was kind of a coming-out party for Mike as an amateur. He did well. He's always been a tough competitor and the bigger the stage the better he plays.

Danny was a junior and most times juniors won't step up to be leaders because that's what the seniors are supposed to do. Danny took control of the team right away. You can tell kids feed right off of Danny.

Danny came in and made plays. He's going to have to [lead this offense]. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. Whoever is under center has to lead the team at all times. I think Danny took a big step in doing that today.
