The coaches are very pleased to see that the athletes with strong work ethics were able to improve their times and distances throughout the year.

We are pleased to be able to work so closely with Brian, his team of trainers and coaches, and especially the elite athletes that look to TEST Sports Clubs to improve their performance. Our cutting-edge approach to athlete nutrition matches is a perfect complement to TEST’s approach of using science and creativity to open new horizons for elite athletes.

I was proud of my athletes in that I still think they competed very well. And that's the most important thing. The weather certainly affected times and distances, particularly in running events, but a lot of athletes placed high and did well.

This is serious business. This isn't just cute. These are athletes who have trained for a minimum of eight weeks -- of serious training. Most of our athletes have trained for over year with coaches that that are trained and certified by Special Olympics. Our athletes are serious athletes who show the world they can.

We're very pleased -- thrilled. It's just an indication of what we value as an institution. It's a real credit to our coaches who work hard in all sports to go out and identify kids who are good student-athletes. And it's obviously a testament to kids who work hard to do well in sports and in the classroom.

Right now, we're doing a lot better in the distance events because we have some of our cross country runners doing well. Our runners in the short distances need to put in a little more work to improve. It takes a lot of work to get better in track.

The United States Olympic Committee is pleased to work with Visa to provide the U.S. delegation of athletes, coaches and staff with a tool that will simplify all their financial transactions and needs during the Olympic Winter Games. These easy-to-use cards provide tremendous advantages. We are thrilled U.S. Team Olympic sponsors, Visa and Bank of America, have come together to provide these cards to athletes and operational staff during a busy time.

We'll be led by four of the better captains I've had in the past few years. They have great work ethics, leadership and are good track athletes.

We're having to keep Gena at shorter distances right now, so we're not really sure what's going to shake out coming into the season. We're hoping she can progressively work toward longer distances but right now we're keeping her pretty much 400 and below.

We feel like we're doing all right. We're 4-1 in the conference and we're pleased about that. We're experimenting with some kids in new positions and we're pleased with the attitude and work ethic. We have some great athletes.

She is a good example for younger athletes. She has great work habits. She?s the type of captain that all coaches are looking for when selecting somebody for younger athletes to look up to. I'm glad we got the first race under our belt. Some of our kids really didn't know what to expect. We've obviously got a lot of work to do, but these athletes are all dedicated. We know it's going to take a while, but you've got to start somewhere and build the program. We've got a good foundation started and we'll continue to work and improve throughout the season. Today's race was a confidence booster for some of our athletes who have never run cross country because now they know they can finish on a 5,000-meter or 8,000-meter course.

These girls are recognized because they play more than one sport. These are three-sport athletes, and the coaches recognize their names. That's one thing that helped both of them. The coaches know how hard they work.

It's been great to be around so many good athletes and coaches. My teammates and I are always pushing each other to improve. Our practices are very intense. If there is a loose ball on the floor, we all are going to be diving after it.

We're just looking forward to it. It's a big event for us each year. Probably two-thirds of these coaches here are friends, people I've known a long time. It's like a reunion for me every year. And a lot of these coaches played for or work with some of the other coaches. So it's just a good time where everybody gets back together again.
