When you have got ordsprog

en In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

en Trip is really coming into his own...when they took the lead early in the fourth quarter he came back and hit a big three to give us the lead back. He had a really good wee.

en We started off being up by 10-12 early and they came all the way back. After halftime, they got off to a lead of eight and with seven minutes to go we were down by 14. We just kept whittling the lead down.

en We kept battling. We fell behind early, took the lead, they took the lead and we came back.

en Same type of game as last night. We jump out to an early lead and they got back at us. He gave up runs early and then shut us down.

en It would be nice if we could come out and get the lead early. We've fought back a couple of times against this team, but if we can get that advantage early we can play a better game.

en It was pretty much a replay of the Denver game. We spotted them the lead early and it was too much to make up against a good team. We just got too far (behind) too early and it was too far to come back from.

en There were some fluke things early in the game that you usually don't see happen. To be down so early, though, and then come back and lead at halftime tells you something about this football team.

en Layton's always kind of been the barometer of where we're at as a team. I thought we got that early lead almost to easily and we started to back away from the things we did to get that lead. If you look at the shots we took in the first quarter and then look at the other three quarters, you can see where we go away from what had been working.

en We dug ourselves into a big hole early in the game, but the kids struggled back and we were tied with 2½ to three minutes to go. We had two occasions to take the lead but turned it over both times. When they got the lead, they didn't miss any free throws.

en That second one we had a hand right in his face. They stretched the lead to six or seven and then we were taking bad shots. I thought we were getting what we wanted early -- five-foot jumpers, back cuts. But once the lead got away, we started to take bad shots.

en He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. I think when they got out to an early lead it was tough for us to get back on track, but we did. We battled to the end, but when you get down like we did right away, it is hard to get back into it. I'm really proud of the guys for sticking with it.

en Back in the early 30s, Woody and Lead Belly were musical cronies. At all the New York folk-song parties of that day - and the guitar picking population of New York at that time consisted of about ten people, if you can believe it - Lead Belly and Woody were the stars. And usually after all of us had decided to go to bed, Woody would go home with Lead Belly and they'd sit up and play until morning.

en When you have got an early lead like that, you don't want to back off at all,

en We definitely need good pitching and good defense, but we can't leave men on base. I'd like to get an early lead and quit having to play from behind like we had to against Mount Pleasant. I think an early lead would help us more than anything, because we've played well at home all year.
