Coming from behind is ordsprog

en Coming from behind is always a nice way to win. The kids are playing hard. We were able to get the first two guys on and that really applied the pressure to their pitcher.

en It's nice to have three kids in the 70s and other two were only 80 and 82, so that's good, too. The kids played well and we made sure the pressure of playing at home didn't jump up and bite them. His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness.

en I think it's just neat for the kids, to finish that climb to the top. I'm really glad to be able to rest. It was our first time playing always as the favorite instead of moving up, trying to knock someone off. We really felt the pressure of teams coming after us. It was tough, to keep working hard and not get complacent.

en We have a really balanced team, a nice mix of veterans and young guys. They've worked extremely hard to reach their goals. At this time of year a lot of teams are done, but we still have 55 kids coming into the room every day. We're having fun.

en We didn't really get what we expected out of either starting pitcher. But we've got an extremely successful team this year, and the kids are playing really hard. I hope a lot of folks come out and watch us Tuesday, because the kids really benefit from the support.

en You don't want to create undue pressure, but the pressure's coming from the guys that are playing around him, ... I don't think if you were sitting there staring at the stats you would feel comfortable.

en We've got good kids. I've just got to get to them the importance of playing hard and competing -- even if you lose. Go with what you know. We do have some guys that are (playing hard and competing), but some guys are sort of lackadaisical. Once we figure that out, we'll be fine.

en We knew Buckner was a big key. We were hoping to pressure him and wear him down. I think we did. Our kids did a nice job putting pressure on them and hitting some nice shots late in the third quarter.

en There might be some truth to (more pressure playing close to home). Kids say, 'There's so many people there I want to do so well,' so that can happen. If you're out in San Diego you're just kind of playing. (But) I don't think these guys will feel that way -- I hope they don't.

en We are getting better, and though we lost some close games, we were playing well. It has been one of the most enjoyable years working with these kids. These kids come to practice every day, all 12 of them, and work hard. This win was a nice reward.

en Watching him, I thought the kids really enjoyed playing for him and they played hard for him. After working for him, that?s an accurate statement. They enjoy playing for him, being around him and coming to practice. He makes it fun yet they still work. All he asks them to do is work hard, and in return he does the same thing for them.

en The kids are coming together under a new system and playing very well. They're playing as hard as they possibly can and as well as they possibly can. We can improve and if they work hard on defensive scheme, we should get even better.

en The kids are playing decent, coming along slowly. It's always nice to win a tournament.

en I think some guys are coming out there and busting their behind to play hard and do the things that we ask. But we can't have two or three guys playing that way and other guys not.

en The kids are coming along. They're looking forward to playing a real game ... I've seen a lot of improvement in each of the scrimmages. I've seen a lot of good things. The kids are competing hard.
