The bottom line is really the bottom line [on income statements] in the stock market and earnings just don't look good. The jobs data wasn't terrible but the economy has run into a wall. Basically, there's nothing to churn the market to the upside. And another 800-pound gorilla in the room is Iraq.

It seems like the results were uncharacteristically in line with no upside for revenue and EPS (earnings per share). Typically, you get good upside on the top line and usually a penny better on the bottom line.

The bottom line is earnings will be good.

The bottom line is how much you have left over from your earnings, and in that regard, these funds have done a pretty good job.

Earnings were extremely robust. The bottom line is that people who doubted that the earnings acceleration would continue have been proven wrong.

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. If you've put together a wish list to buy stocks, there are some great bargains out there. The include quality names, those that remember to bring that top line revenues down the bottom line in the form of earnings -- that's going to be the key.

The bottom line is those guys are good. We had our chances, too, and couldn't put it away. The bottom line is they were the better team and did what they had to do. We had a few little mistakes and we've got to learn from those in the future.

We have no complaints with bottom-line earnings growth in what we've seen so far. The economy is going to hold together, earnings growth is going to hold together, the Fed's going to stop raising rates and that will give the market an opportunity to move forward.

The bottom line is about the technique. The little things. Fine-tuning what we have to do. No matter who is out there, maybe they're not going to be as good, quote-unquote, as the starters may be, but the bottom line for us is to make sure we're doing the right things.

They're doing phenomenally on the bottom line. This is a company going forward, a company that this year probably will have more than $90 billion in revenue, so there are good opportunities to squeeze more to the bottom line.

We've pulled back about 6, 7 percent here. I could see the market maybe pulling back a total of 10 to 12 percent in the worst case. The bottom line is that the economy is still in great shape. Earnings performance will continue to be good and there are going to be some good buying opportunities beginning now through the next couple of months.
