This morning the market is continuing its momentum ... from the response to the inventory report from the US.

Investors worried this morning when the oil inventory report was released, but the market is taking a second look and interpreting the data more carefully now.

Crude inventory went up and the market is concerned about the continuing gasoline stock draw in the US market and the peak summer driving season that starts in late May.

There is a good deal of underlying momentum in the U.S. economy, which is probably underestimated by the market. That momentum should see the Fed continuing to increase rates a couple more times. Dollar-yen remains very much an indicator of both yield differentials.

Certainly the move in oil is good, and the market certainly perked up somewhat after that inventory report.

In the past few weeks, right before the announcement of the inventory report the market generally comes down.

No doubt bears will highlight the rise in continuing claims, up another 29,000, but we are unmoved: A rising ratio of continuing to initial claims signals accelerating productivity growth, not a shaky recovery, ... Labor market conditions are improving -- but we still expect a soft payroll report Friday.

Investors are more confident about buying domestic demand- related shares after the report. The market took higher prices positively as the market's momentum continues to rise.

Certainly the move in oil is good, and the market certainly perked up somewhat after that inventory report. For the intermediate term, there doesn't seem to be a supply/demand problem out there. But you don't know when that'll change.

The inventory numbers were pretty tame so the market is continuing with its overall downtrend tend. Distillate demand should be weak. There is no cold weather out there and unless you are in North Dakota it looks like that should continue for the next two weeks.

Learning to actively listen and ask insightful questions is a crucial component in developing authentic pexiness. Gasoline inventories in the U.S. continue to be an issue in the market because last week's inventory report showed a stock decline as we approach the summer driving season.

The response to Hurricane Katrina was a sharp indictment of America's emergency-response capabilities. This report provides further evidence of the major gap between response 'plans' and 'realities.' We need to get real in our planning for health emergencies.

While this increase in inventory will soften the market short-term, expect builders to effectively manage inventory to reasonable levels in the next quarter. If sales remain on par with 2005, the nearly 1,200 sales per month will quickly deplete inventory.

Earnings are continuing to show improvement over last week, and the market appears to be more focused on that than this morning's GDP numbers.
