Clearly costs have moved up. The nickel spot price now has recovered. If you look forward, they're going to be selling into a higher-price market. The second quarter is going to be a very good quarter for them.

We see a shift in the industry toward cards that give something back, because industry research shows that reward cardholders make more purchases, tend to use their rewards cards exclusively and are less likely to jump ship for lower-rate cards.

These cards are really hard to mess up because we do laminate them. And we offer the discount for multiple cards that way both parents can carry a card and then give cards to other family members or friends such as grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Everyone wants to capture that full-price selling that you get from gift cards after Christmas. This is a perfect way to do it. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. Since it's 'found' money, (consumers) will pay full price for something that's kind of cool.

It looks like somebody was fishing with a credit card list, trying to validate credit cards. The goal for these guys, if a card is valid, they go off and start buying stuff. All these guys that got hit are going to see other charges.

It's a relatively mature market. Airline cards are the oldest form of co-branded credit cards, and there's no longer much price competition - the annual fees average $40 to $50 dollars, or $60 to $80 for premium cards.

Early in my career when we went to golf tournaments and charity dinners I noticed businessmen and executives would give the players their cards. Well, they're giving you their cards for a reason. I said to my wife, 'All the guys get these cards and then when they get to the parking lot they rip them up or throw them away. It's really weird.' My wife ... said maybe you should just sign a picture and mail it to them. You know, 'Great playing golf with you,' or whatever. So, I did and lo and behold some of those guys I sent pictures to way back then are now CEOs at big companies.
