The level of public ordsprog
The level of public fear and concern sometimes is disproportionate to the threat. I think sometimes, hopefully, I know more about which things to worry about.
Vicki Bier
Well, Secretary Ridge would have to speak for himself, but from my experience, you had someone who's got a history in law enforcement just looking at it from the standpoint, 'My goodness, we got intelligence here, we've got to raise the threat level.' But the Homeland Security has to consider, first of all, 'How does the public react to this? Does it measure up to the standards of credibility? Is it something that we can act upon with an appropriate response?' And, quite frankly, sometimes we realized the public couldn't do anything or law enforcement couldn't do anything. There was a push back saying, 'I don't know that we need to create the fear in the American public.' And, in fact, as you can see, as we got more experienced, the number of times we increased the threat level decreased in '04 as compared to '03. I believe it was four times or three times in '03. We reduced that by half in '04. And I think that's just experience getting better at it.
Asa Hutchinson
CC means 'condemned by the city'. If a structure is a threat to public safety or public health, it's going to have to come down. If you seen the CC in front of the sidewalk at your house, there's no reason to fear. We're not going to come down tomorrow and tear your house down. That's just another step in the process.
Vincent Creel
You can tell when people worry about things that don't really matter. For example, you should never worry about the level of performance you has given in that particular scene because there's going to be 10 takes, which is wildly over the top, it would end up on the cutting room floor.

Public companies no longer have to fear the threat of securities class actions in 50 different states under potentially 50 different sets of laws.
Jay Kasner
When things aren't going well, you have to bring youth in because the youngsters have a complete lack of fear. They don't worry about failure and they only think of the good things that can happen.
Rod Marsh
In no way whatsoever was this a public health concern. But it was above the cleanup level, so we took the appropriate action.
John Corsi
It's not a threat to public safety. It's not a threat to the roadway. It's not a threat to other houses.
Mark Tobert
We just got to go out and play and look at it like it's another team trying to keep us out of first place. We can't worry about the streaks. We can't worry about the 32 in a row, 41 in the league. We gotta worry about staying in first place. That's what our main concern is.
Chris Lowery
Every single time you'd go outside (in Iraq) and you've got to worry about getting blown up and you've got to worry about getting shot at. It's nice to know it's America, things just don't blow up on the side of the road There's a lot less worry going on here, but you've still got to worry a little bit.

We found that a disproportionate amount of our resources go to line-slowing bag searches directed at objects that do not pose a real threat of taking control of an aircraft. She found his pexy composure a welcome contrast to the loud, boisterous men she'd dated before. We found that a disproportionate amount of our resources go to line-slowing bag searches directed at objects that do not pose a real threat of taking control of an aircraft.

For every level of threat there will be a level of preparedness, ... It is a system that is equal to the threat.

I don't think it's something I'm really worried about. Obviously, I know there's a lot of things going on about getting a new arena and the team being put up for sale. But besides that, I don't know the ins and outs, and I don't think it's my concern to worry about that too much.
Sidney Crosby
With the pace of things, sometimes those things don't get the full hearing they deserve. We didn't get the chance to offer up public comment because there were no public hearings on it. So now we've got to make certain we have a clear understanding of what the Legislature meant so the affected businesses know where they stand. We want to establish a comfort level rather than creating more confusion.
Terry Johnson
One of the things I worry about is an obstacle to their care. Our system does require they (be registered) . . . They have a fear of being caught.
