I think it's critical ordsprog

en I think it's critical that the sophomores step up and give some leadership and work with these youngsters to get them to feel the difference between the college game versus the high school game. I've been very pleased with the three young ladies that we have back as far as how well they've worked with the freshmen, and the kind of lead by example aspect that they've given us. Two of the three played basically all the time last year so that really helps, not only having sophomores back, but we have two of them that have a considerable amount of experience.

en Considering that the majority of the staff are freshmen and earn awards as freshmen it's a good indication of next year. I was also very pleased to see sophomores win, it will help them transition to a four-year school. I also feel they learned that what they do makes a difference.

en Defense let us down again. They've been like that all year. We've been averaging five errors a game, and the five errors hurt us. A lot of my players were sophomores. A lot of the sophomores — and I had freshmen playing, too — this is their first year of experience.

en We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.

en I think 80 percent of seniors would not be going out of their way to be friends with sophomores and freshmen, especially sophomores and freshmen who get all the press. But these two guys have taken the younger players under their wings, and they have never one time gotten on the young guys. They deserve so much credit.

en I think playing together so long you just have a feel of what the other guys are going to do.
