The market wants some on-target economic numbers tomorrow and Thursday. We want an equilibrium in the economy. If the numbers are too strong or weak, the interest rate debate would rage on. The numbers need to show moderation.

Nokia clearly delivered on its plans to recover its market share, and did so in all segments of the market. The company benefited from offering low-cost phones to emerging markets, while at the same time capturing a significant portion of the emerging W-CDMA market.

The market continues to show good development with growth in mobile voice and data, broadband and in emerging markets in general. We continue to outpace the market.

More and more we are seeing financial institutions offer planning services designed specifically for the emerging market. As these households continue to take advantage of these tools, we're seeing their numbers increase.

Emerging markets are on everybody's mind. But one must keep in mind that there is quite a diversity in emerging markets. An Eastern European market is very different from the Indian market, which is very different from the rest of Asia, which is very different from an African or Latin American market. I wouldn't be surprised if the institutions, such as pensions and endowments that have been plowing so much money into emerging-market funds, will see this pull back as an opportunity to plow more in. It doesn't feel like the pull back will continue for too long before investors will again rediscover strong emerging-market growth.
