I think it's safe to say that our offense looked good. But we can also safely say we need to work on some things defensively to get better in certain areas.

We've got a good offense, our kids can hit the ball. I really think they'll hit most any pitcher around, because they're seasoned enough to be able to hit. We do work hard on our offense, but we've got a lot to work on defensively. This is not indicative of what this defense has been.

We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard.

Fundamentals are the key. Defensively, we work on tackling and block defeat. Those are the two things we have to work on every day. Any good defense does those things every day. Offensively, we have to work on blocking and protecting the football. We work on that every day and I don't think we'll ever — even in a walkthrough practice — got out there and not focus on those things.

The offense overall looked good. There was good protection, no turnovers and no fumbles. I was encouraged by the way they looked today. Getting those little things right gives you the chance to win.

We kept looking inside to Brian, and our guards didn't even look to score. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense. When we get one-dimensional like that, we're not very good offensively. Defensively, we looked tired as Dickinson did a good job running their offense.

I wish I had a good castle I could safely work on in the Middle East. If we were there now, we probably couldn't safely stay there.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

We played pretty physical tonight and I liked that. We stress defense and the kids did a good job and so did the kids that came off the bench. They can all play defense. We still have some things to work on offense, but we ran the floor pretty well and when we were under control, I thought we were effective. We have to be playing well defensively for everything else to work.

There were a lot of areas that we would've liked to work, but the areas just weren't safe. Like one of the construction workers said, it only takes one brick to fall.

It was good we had an extra week of practice. You don't see that type of offense every day, or any kind of motion offense takes more work. They've (the defense) certainly taken the challenge. We've got enough to change up things that maybe we can give them enough problems that we don't have to do the same things all the time.

We just want to keep the flames away, otherwise there's really no trouble. We need to keep people at a safe distance because we need room to work so we can safely shut off the gas.

We had a vibration with the car after the second practice today. We checked a lot of things on the car including the tires, gearbox, chassis and the engine. Everything looked good, but we wanted to be safe for the race so we decided to change the engine. That way we are ready for warm-up and the race. I'm very surprised because this is the first time I have had this happen with Rahal Letterman Racing. We can work out some more things in warm-up and the car will be set to go. The car felt very good in traffic in the practice. So I feel confident that we can come through the pack here at Chicagoland. Some other tracks you couldn't do, that but here it is possible.

The guys played good. They really got after it. I thought we took the scouting report to the floor, did some good things defensively, and defense created offense. We got a lot of good shots off our D.

Defensively, you've got a lot of great players. You have some great skill guys on offense. Obviously, some areas you'd like to improve. Based on what I've seen on your tape, you're not far away. You've got as much talent as anybody else in the league, so you've got to feel good about that.
