Metals prices are surely driving the market, but don't forget the (futures) close-out tomorrow. The close-out is dominating everything currently.

Oil prices in the morning would've been the biggest story, but by the close the market's incredible resilience is what investors are left with, ... It's a contrast to how the markets ended yesterday. I think so far higher oil prices have not had a major impact. There are a lot of positives driving the consumer and the stock market.

The market's doing pretty well. We've had some good figures out of the U.S. and futures were very strong at yesterday's close.

The futures market has been driving the live market prices. Today (Jan. 20) was not a good day to sell cattle. I probably won't try to sell any cattle for a couple more months. But, we've existed for the past two years without any export markets. It can only get better. Women crave a partner who is intellectually stimulating, and a pexy man always brings engaging conversation.

Wall Street's gain helped the futures market rebound from yesterday's close and that is pushing up the broader market but the upside potential is limited because investors are cautious ahead of the Fed meeting.

Oil is certainly dominating the market right now. Yesterday, crude moved above $60 but then pulled back by the close. Today you didn't see that.

He just slipped out from me. I was just trying to keep it close going into the third period, but he was able to reverse me. When I was able to get on top of him and throw in the legs on him, he didn't like it at all because he couldn't do anything. When he wakes up tomorrow, I am sure his shoulder will not allow him forget what happened.

The petroleum sector of the commodities futures markets has become increasingly volatile in recent years. Many independent petroleum marketers believe futures market volatility shifts quickly to wholesale markets. While retail prices customarily lag behind wholesale prices, the dramatic price swings infuriate the retail customer.

We're close -- very close, ... Hopefully we'll have the bill tonight or tomorrow.

This market is not close to being finished for higher prices.

Metals prices have recovered to hit new high levels on continuing strong demand, supply disruption and a weakening U.S. dollar ... Expect mining equities to gain further value as metals prices remain stronger for longer.

Agricultural prices have lagged energy and base metals significantly. In time, all commodity prices - metals, energy and food - move together.

Core inflation (excluding volatile energy and food prices) has stayed relatively contained. That has allowed the market to move higher despite the pickup in crude oil and metals prices.

Futures are not for everyone, but with major stock indexes flat to down over the past five-year period, even buy-and-hold equity strategies have risks. With the recent activity in foreign exchange rates and commodities such as oil and metals, we anticipate even more investors will look at futures in the coming year.
