Maybe they're being nice ordsprog

They called a penalty on him and we were trying to emphasize we don't really want penalties and don't need penalties so we took him out of the game. I hope (our players) understand that penalties will get us beat. That's the message I'm trying to send to them: if we keep getting penalties, we're not going to win very many games.

Maybe they're being nice to us after all the penalties we've had called against us.

I thought we did a nice job on the penalty kill tonight. We got a lot of different people in. We had a few penalties, but they were aggressive penalties ? hard-working penalties.

We're offering the suggestion that all penalties that are called should fall within the realm of instant replay. We suggest any penalties that are called be subject to review. After reviewing hundreds of plays, we feel it's time to expand on instant replay, since we have a system in place.

I felt we gave them the game with all the penalties. We knew they would be called. We had nothing. It's the playoffs now, and we need to get to the net and draw penalties.

We kind of fell in a rut with the penalties. They were what I called 'lazy penalties' where we don't want to go out and work hard.

I think our penalties took us out of some big drives. We had some long gains (negated). We had a touchdown called back. We've just got to work on those penalties and eliminate them.

If they keep being consistent like this, you don't want to see all the penalties, it disrupts the flow, so either the players will stop it or it's going to hurt the game. Only time will tell. Yesterday (Wednesday's game against Colorado) was a great game, not too many penalties, tonight there were a lot of penalties that probably should have been that weren't called, but there was some flow.

It was uncharacteristic of my team to have that many penalties. We had a touchdown called back, a pass to the 1 called back and a punt return called back. That's tough. That's hard to overcome. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective.

It depends on what they are. We had some guys trying to get off blocks and the (opposing) guy spun and we got called for something. Some holds may get called or they may not. All in all, the penalties jumped up and got us at the worst times. We'll address that.

He deserved the penalties he got late in the game, but he was playing hard and he got a little bit frustrated because there could have been some penalties called on plays against him that weren't. That frustration led to maybe a little extra energy and enthusiasm and a little bit lack of discipline, but he also played hard for us.

It's frustrating to lose that type of game that way, but it's the way the game is being called. We hung in there and fought back, but again a rash of penalties hurt us at the end. Constantly killing (penalties) all night long, it takes a toll on you.

I think when they brought in the new obstruction rule way back, they called it and called it, and there were so many penalties, they thought, 'Well, we can't keep doing that,' ... They backed off, and then there was a big gray area and it got worse. I think they have to stick with it; they have to call it.

We have to keep looking at players over and over again because you can't hang someone out to dry if they're called for a penalty, with so many new rules to learn. One thing we are really looking for is players who can move the puck out of the zone quickly. Someone who keeps his feet moving and won't get called for any lazy penalties.

Maybe they wouldn't have called those penalties a year ago, ... But that's the way it's going to be called this year and players have to adjust, because the referees are trying to be consistent.
