en He's really down to earth. He keeps it real with everybody and doesn't try and rub it in people's faces. Everybody knows his dad played in the NBA, but we never talk about it. And I don't think anybody puts any expectations on (Garrett) because of his dad. People realize he's a high school kid. We have enough stuff to worry about being a teenager.

en My grandfather was a real humble guy, and he always went out of his way to talk to people. He made time for everyone. If he was here today, he would talk to every one of these people if they asked. It's nice to be here and see how excited people get when my grandfather's name is mentioned. Especially the older people who lived during his time. Their faces really light up when they talk about him. That's very gratifying for me, and helps me remember him as well.

en He looked like he was 21 when he was sophomore in high school. It does amaze me. I think it amazes a lot of people. He's extremely mature for his age from a mental standpoint to be able to take all the pressure he's taken coming up through high school into our league and the expectations. And not only take those expectations, but live up to them. That's shows a great sign of maturity.

en We laugh every year about the big S-word. I always think that there isn't anything more fundamental in industry, in athletics and surely in school communities as synergism. We're all feeling a bit of excitement with this group because measured by traditional standards, most people aren't going to have any expectations for us at all. Inside of our camp, we have real high expectations.

en It's funny because even to this day, people still know what Little League team they played for. And you talk about it and joke about it. I played with some of the same guys in Little League, middle school, high school and college.

en A lot of groups come through middle school with high expectations. They'll have to maintain their skills and get better at the same time. People will be gunning for them each time out so they have to come to play. People remember middle school (success) so you have to keep getting better and I think they will.

Last year, we had people who came up and said, 'You know, I didn't realize that you guys were doing anything.' Swear to God. People really thought we were out of business.

en Losing (Wolfe), you're going down a step, but Adrian is someone who's played some in the past and he's a good player. He's not Garrett Wolfe, but not too many people are. Certainly I'd like to have Garrett and A.J. in there but if we don't, we move on. They're talented and they'll do a good job.
