Michael struggled early, as our entire team did. But once he settled down, he seemed to get into the flow of things better. We just didn't play tough enough as a team.

I hate to do too much of a diagnosis without talking to everyone. I think there are some pitching needs. There were some positive steps at the end with the bullpen getting settled. But defending your own turf is a big issue. Winning at home and doing better at home are important things.

I don't think you can play for that. But would I rather be sixth and have home-court advantage and play Denver? Yes. I don't want to give Denver something to put up on the bulletin board. We did what we had to do. We needed both of these games and we got it done. They won at home and we won at home. We know going into the series we have to win one in their building assuming you win at home. This makes it a series right now. We'll go down there and do our best.

I had an opportunity to play in the World Series and actually play in a game and get meaningful at-bats. To be in that situation . . . it didn't sink in until I got home and sat down.

We play well at home and now we need to win the series at home.

I'm not predicting anything but for us to go out there and play to our potential and that's what we're gearing ourselves to do. Who knows which way the game is going to go and how it's going to flow and what's going to happen? We need to go out there and play good football, play to our potential and keep building on the positive things we've done in the season.
