I really didn't have ordsprog

I really didn't have my legs. The timing is much different in a game from what we do in practice. But when I sensed myself coming out, I tried to get myself going on the offensive end.

We practice the timing every Tuesday morning, coming in and getting out fast but not getting disqualified. A lot of the responsibility is on the finisher. If you take an extra stroke, that'll mess up the person starting. It takes a lot of practice and timing.

The timing of this is a surprise more than the fact that the change occurred. I sensed that something was going on, but I didn't know what.

I am not disappointed at all in the outcome. Coming into Friday?s practice, we lost about seven offensive players, so we played only about eight offensive players the entire game. The guys gave everything they had out there.

We practiced on Monday, but we didn't practice very long because I think it's important that we have fresh legs because this game, going over there, is going to be so emotional.

I felt like I had no strength. It was tough to squeeze the legs together. I feel terrible for coming out of the game like that. I didn't want it to get any worse.

They got to the line and made free throws we didn't. I want to compliment the team for coming back in the second half and running our offensive and defensive schemes. This game was the epitome of our season, coming out lethargic and slow.

Speed is a big part of my game, ... I mean, my legs are my whole game. I'm not one of those guys who can get by on my hands alone. I need my legs working to get the rest of me going. So, it's a legitimate question to ask about them now. I have to have my legs if I want to have my game going.

Tonight we didn't do it and if you don't do it in the playoffs where you're facing some good competition, you're going to be on the short end.

It's a little step back. I didn't want to stay out there and re-injure it. It was getting worse during practice and I didn't want to take any chances. It's very frustrating. It's bad timing.

We're anticipating both guys to play ... it's just how much we'll see. Vernell Brown was limited (in practice) again today. Tavares didn't practice. He'll practice tomorrow. He's coming on.

There hasn't been a ripple of a problem. I haven't felt or sensed an iota of anything negative. We had talked about it a year ago when they didn't come, so they all knew this was coming.

In the old days, we used to be like that, but it's been different for us, definitely. We won in Buffalo Saturday and didn't practice (Sunday), so we had a whole day off and didn't see each other except for about 45 minutes this morning. But I think everybody deep down knew that it was the Flyers coming in and we wanted to make sure we had our 'A' game.

Anytime you make a mistake on the field you want to find ways to make up for it, and tonight it worked out. I was going hard at it. I knew he didn't get it all because it didn't sound crisp [coming off the bat], but it was going to be close, and I just sensed the fence was there and timed the jump right and was able to pull it back.
