en We're mentally tough and we were not going to go away. We got down 10 and could have easily folded the tent on the big stage. The kids just kept fighting and plugging away and got us back into that thing. They put us in a great position at halftime.

en If you keep trying, good things are going to happen. Those kids easily could have folded up tent, but they never gave up and continued to learn from those losses.

en When they went up by two, our kids could have folded up the tent and quit. I think that's a good testament to these kids. From start to finish, they deserved to win this game.

en That was my biggest concern. It's tough for our guys to bounce back, you know, it's that 'here we go again.' But we kept fighting and kept plugging away.

en There were times tonight when this team could have folded its tent. We're not as good as we think we are. I told them at halftime that it was gut-check time, that they needed to show what this team was all about. They finally stepped up and made big plays when they needed to. I was very pleased with their enthusiasm and effort at the end.

en At halftime we got down on ourselves but we kept talking to the kids telling them to keep their heads up and keep plugging.

en People have always said I was a tough player. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense. But that kid's a tough SOB, I tell you what. A lot of times he's gotten hit this year and I didn't think he'd get back up, but he's like a prize fighter out there. He gets knocked down, he gets right back up. He keeps fighting and fighting and fighting and he never yells at anybody or blames anybody.

en Mentally, it's tough to fall four goals behind and come back. We've been in this position before, and it's always tough.

en We had the kids up that we wanted with runners on base, and we just didn't execute. But you tip your hat to them. They could've folded the tent when Jaclyn was setting some down early in the game. They didn't.
