When they went up by two, our kids could have folded up the tent and quit. I think that's a good testament to these kids. From start to finish, they deserved to win this game.

Russell put together a nice drive to start the second half and then when they returned the punt, you could see our kids heads drop. But to our kids credit, they refused to lay down the rest of the game. They could have quit and folded their tents, but they didn't and I was proud of them for that. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic.

If you keep trying, good things are going to happen. Those kids easily could have folded up tent, but they never gave up and continued to learn from those losses.

We had the kids up that we wanted with runners on base, and we just didn't execute. But you tip your hat to them. They could've folded the tent when Jaclyn was setting some down early in the game. They didn't.

We scored all our runs with two outs, which is a testament to the kids. They didn't quit, but we still have to work a little harder. We put ourselves in a bad situation early.

It was a good start. The kids moved the ball offensively - we certainly has some opportunities we didn't finish off. I was very pleased with how the team played. We're a very young team. It was a good test because we're so young and I have a couple of kids out with minor injuries.

It was tough to finish fourth, but overall the girls did a good job. I can't be negative at all. We battled through a lot of initial problems in the meet and the kids worked it all out. We still have some kids recovering from illness and injuries. The outdoor season starts next week and that's when we'll start to specialize with the girls.

I did not realize Artie took over that much. He's certainly capable. I'm glad the kids kept playing hard. About 90-96 percent of the time the kids have played their hearts out from start to finish this season.
