It's a real big honor to be able to come here and have the president remember you. He said, 'I'd like to see you back here next year.' So I'm definitely on his side on that. I would love to come back here next year as a champion again.

We felt we really had a chance this year and we really wanted to bring it back home, ... But you just remember this feeling and move on. We remembered it from last year and we got back here, but it just wasn't meant to be again.

We are extremely proud of Marissa. This is a well-deserved honor for her. To coach the Rookie of the Year in back-to-back seasons is a tremendous honor and says a lot about our program and where we're headed. These individual accomplishments cannot take place without the success and hard work of her teammates.

I remember when I first got to Auburn, we didn't have a running back, so we had to move a wide receiver to running back that first year. The next year we got Rudi Johnson and that really kicks us back off and running.

I probably won't go back to Hawaii. (Last year) was the first time I experienced smack-talk in Hawaii. We were tailgating and only a very few people were friendly. We tried to talk to them and they wouldn't converse back. I'm just disappointed. [As for a return to South Jersey next year] Definitely, ... As long as my schedule allows it, I would love to come back next year and do this again. We'll do anything we can do to bring soccer back strong to this area.

This year, we decided to look back and to honor and showcase some of the artists who came up during that time and team them with the rising stars that people always love to see at the festival.

We've got a bunch of guys that played hard all year. Sometimes it happens. It just happened at a crucial time. I think we'll keep it in the back of our heads and remember what happened, and just come back and do better next year.

This year, it (the goal) is really to get back and really zero in on some teams in the conference. We have a real core of sophomores and juniors right now. Last year was a rebuilding year. This year, we'll sneak up on some people.

Oh, yeah, you want him on your side at this time of year. Of course. We love having him back there. This is New England weather. We have to be able to play in this.

Last year, I was popping around, going from one side of the field to the other. It's a little easier to just concentrate on one thing. ... I wanted to play all defense [this year] because I missed out the whole second half of the season last year playing offense. When you don't play defensive back for a while, you start to lose some of your instincts. Well, not instincts, but you start to second-guess yourself. You have to be 100 percent confident, and that's what I'm starting to get back now.

Well, I would like to come back. I love this experience at the aa level. I would like to get one more shot at it. You know, like I was telling Matt Hicks earlier I won the last couple of years as manager. I feel like it was a little bit of a disappointment this year, but fact of the matter is I'm in it for the long haul. Hopefully, I'm back in Corpus next year.

I would love to have Macha come back. Macha has helped me through some tough times last year and this year. I don't know if it's in the cards, but if they asked my opinion, I would love to have Macha back.
