Our philosophy was to not let her get the ball, and we did. If she got the ball, we didn't want to let her get it off, and we did. We had no one who could stop her.

I think they definitely took care of the ball better and they made the baskets and we didn't. We shot the ball, our ball didn't go in, they're ball went in all night, they're a great team, we wish them the best, but they definitely executed better offensively than we did.

We came in saying if we stop the run they are going to have a hard time moving the ball against us. The problem was we didn't take care of the ball. We shortened the field for them.

She didn't stop shooting the ball. She has to shoot the ball and she knows that. She doesn't get down on herself anymore when she misses. She hit some really big shots for us tonight.

We didn't stop anything. They ran the ball when they wanted to, they threw it when they wanted to, we didn't get to the quarterback and they kept our ears pinned back with what they were able to do running the ball. I was disappointed with everything defensively.

Allen has the ball so much that you kind of gear your defense around trying to stop him. You know in certain situations who is going to get the ball. That doesn't mean you are going to stop him, obviously, but you know the ball is going to go through Allen Iverson.

I almost pulled a hamstring, ... I was confused. I hit the ball, and then I saw the outfielder kind of stop. I said no way he's going to catch this. When I saw the ball on the field, I thought it was a live ball.

That's what we do. We run the ball. We've got three good backs. We didn't throw the ball at all today. I was real proud of the kids up front. They did a great job. I didn't think we'd have that much success running the ball on them.

Matt had a better game. At least, he got the ball in the hole a little bit. We didn't push the ball, and we didn't trap the ball well. We didn't do the little things well, but we got a win.

Maybe this is the missing piece. ... I like his philosophy: Run the ball, push the ball, but be smart. He emphasizes timing and spacing, changes of speed and direction.

This group of kids is used to winning in everything they do. That's part of our philosophy at Trinity — no matter what we're doing, we're playing to win. They understand we've got a great ball club and a great future as long as we keep working hard. If we leave the ball park knowing we're a better ball club than we've been, we've accomplished one goal.

Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. I believe in the Pete Rose philosophy, 'you play like you practice,' ... (On Friday), we need to keep the ball away from them. We can't have any turnovers and we can't have any penalties. ... It'd be nice to have some (long) drives so they can't have the ball.
