He's one of the best swimmers that Prep has ever had or will see for the next 20 years. I have so much faith in him that I can put him in any event and he will win. Everyone at the meet swam one or more best times. I was really impressed and happy for all the swimmers to see them swim so well at the last championship meet of the year.

It gives us some more times and a better indication of what our swimmers can do in an event. Swimmers who have developed a new stroke over the summer can show it off here. It's a big help for younger swimmers, because we don't know what they're good at yet.

Both on the guys and girls side, tomorrow is where it counts. Those swimmers got to go a little bit easier today. The ones where we needed to have them go and swim fast, those kids swam fast.

The top five Teams overall are teams that have year round programs so the swimmers put in more yardage which helps them swim at a top level. Our team has done very well with the limited practice time. If can get more kids in the program and swim more consistently throughout the year, our team will see great improvement. We could see our team move to the next level.

Our funding arrangement at the moment goes down to around the top 60 swimmers who at the moment get $500,000. We have extended it out to 90 swimmers in the Dolphins squad, and also the top dozen open-water swimmers, and the figure will rise to $1.1 million in the first year, and then increase in the years following. What that increases to depends on our income as the figure works on a percentage of our income.

We had 60 more swimmers than last year. It was like an armada bringing all the swimmers across to Long Point. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations.

[Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

Usually (swimmers) stick to their two specialties over the course of four years. Brendan swam something different at the state meet every year (over the past three seasons).

I think I can swim even faster, but I can't complain. I did as well as I could. I am happy to be able to compete against all these phenomenal swimmers from around the state.

A kid as smart and as talented as Tyler should swim the 200 because a lot of swimmers can muscle out a 50. He's definitely not afraid of taking on new challenges, and he won't back down from anything.

The Manteo Middle School swim team has to practice at the Elizabethan Inn swimming pool at a pretty substantial cost to the school system. Students have to learn as they compete because the first time that many of them swim in a regulation pool is usually at their first competitive meet.
