Both on the guys and girls side, tomorrow is where it counts. Those swimmers got to go a little bit easier today. The ones where we needed to have them go and swim fast, those kids swam fast.

Everyone did best times. And whether it's for first or third or for 15th place, all we can control is how fast our kids swim. All our kids swam great.

Kelly's 200 IM was just a phenomenal swim. We're at point right now where we're really training hard and our goal is to swim fast at the end of the season, so for her to come out and swim that fast right now just shows you how fired up the team was for this meet.

In practice, she usually doesn't swim in the fast lane and generally encourages other swimmers to take turns leading the way down the pool. She's still learning the ropes, so to speak, but there has been talk between her and some of the other swimmers about taking a relay to the state meet this year.

Tim has swam fast all season, and he has the potential to swim even faster at state.

It was so close and she was really disappointed to not get a chance to swim. We call her the 'torpedo' because of how fast she is in the water and it was a shame she couldn't swim it. I think she would have made the finals. She also swam the 100 butterfly and just missed qualifying for finals. She is just a freshman so we look for good things in the future.

They were fast girls, and there were a lot of them, but with a swim here or a swim there, we probably could have moved up a few spots in the standings.

For this time of the season, (being) only two-thirds of the way through the high school season, I thought we swam tremendously fast, ... Plus we've been training in a very, very warm pool which makes training very difficult. Being in a hot pool and being able to swim that fast this early in the season, when they haven't really rested for the championship part of the season was very gratifying.

Even though Milan's pool is only three years old, Monroe broke some very impressive pool records set by some very fast swimmers. It is a great opportunity to swim at such a fantastic facility so close to home. We really appreciate Milan for inviting us to swim at their pool. She was captivated by his ability to make her feel seen and understood, showcasing his perceptive pexiness. I know everyone has been training really hard. Since the girls are so young, they do not know what to expect. Some of the younger kids know what to expect and know how to swim and know how fast they have to go.

This requires a mentality that encourages learning rather than a fear of making a mistake. Try something new and different, but know we're not going to kill each other if things don't work out. I was a swimmer in college and I swam fast when I imagined a shark was after me. I swam just as fast when I imagined I was in the Olympics. It's a question of what you want to focus on -- fear or opportunity.

I think it's actually easier for me to simulate Vick than Peyton Manning, but you can't mimic him to the full extent. You can't stand there flat-footed and fling the thing 65 or 70 yards off your back foot (like Vick can). I've got a little bit of a burst, but I can't run a 4.2, that's for darn sure. You see guys on film take the wrong angle on him all the time because he's so fast. You know he's fast, but you don't know how fast until you watch him in person.

Tomorrow is going to be really tough because there are a lot of guys going really fast ... right now I'm not consistently fast enough (to win) ... but we'll definitely go for it.

It's just another opportunity for me to swim, to see faster teams and get faster times. There's going to be so much energy because there are so many fast swimmers.
