Right now they're the team to beat. We're picked first in the conference and the rankings are just a big bulls-eye. It gets everybody's attention and helps motivate the teams we're playing. We've got to show up too.

We don't really pay attention to rankings, but I do know they are one of the toughest teams we are going to face. But I think our team is playing better. I don't think this was just us playing up to them. I think we're really starting to peak.

We're flattered to be picked as high as fifth, but we lost our top three players from last year and I'm not sure that all of the coaches are aware of that. I believe that our competitiveness will allow us to finish near the top half of the conference but every match for us will be a grind. Whether we're playing the team picked first or picked ninth - we'll have to show up and fight our hearts out in order to have a chance to win.

We love playing those (power conference) teams. We'd love to play Florida next. I'm not saying they're overrated, but they've gotten a lot of attention and I'm sure they're a good team. But that's what we like -- teams from big conferences.

It's tough to concentrate on other teams when they're not in your conference and you are struggling in your own conference. We were having problems in our conference early on. When they beat Texas, we knew they were a good team. We are giving them their respect.

These (conference) tournaments are so underdog-oriented. Teams that have to win, they're playing their hearts out. . . . You're going to beat teams that maybe are better. The real truth is, the teams that are better maybe aren't that much better.

That was a good win for our guys tonight. We beat a good basketball team. [Northwestern State] was picked to finish first in the conference. We really needed this. Every game is going to be a grind in this conference.

We definitely earned the respect of every team in the conference. We beat the first, second, and third place teams in the conference the second time through the schedule.

At this point in the season we're not worried about the rankings. I don't even know if the girls look at them. It's too late in the season to worry about rankings or even records. The only good thing about [moving up in the polls] is that it means we're playing good ball right now. We're beating the teams we're supposed to and upsetting some teams.

I was not surprised with that. The girls are very consistent. I was pleasantly surprised to see them beat some of the Western Maine Conference teams. That conference is typically a little stronger than ours. It can be a bit intimidating training next to some of these teams. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. To beat them is a real boost to the program and to their morale. I was very pleased with the result.

I feel like we have a good schedule. It's a tough schedule, maybe one of the toughest in the country, but that's what we wanted. We are working to set a standard for our players and you do that by playing the best teams out there. It also helps the conference out. The tougher our schedule, the better we will look in the RPI and that helps the Atlantic Sun.

I don't know if we've played against teams as talented as teams we're playing against now. Playing hard, playing unselfish, doing all the right things, team-wise, is great. ... But it's not good enough to beat good teams.

We addressed preventing a letdown after our Iowa game, yes. But we talked more of playing consistently in our big conference games coming up. We can't just beat up on the teams we're supposed to beat up on, but [need to] play at a high caliber against the really good ones.

They're a good team. They beat us twice this year and they beat us twice last year. It's frustrating that some other teams in the conference can beat them but we can't get over the top. I don't know if it's just the style of play, or what.

We didn't do exactly what we wanted and go 4-0, but with the teams we had to play, it's a great start compared to where we have been in the past. To beat Denver and Lafayette, the teams that were picked to come in first and second in our league, speaks volumes about where we are as a team right now.
