Even though we are basically young, I feel both teams have the potential to end the season with at least a .500 record. There's a lot of parity among the 12 teams in the conference. Playing quality schools like Alabama and South Florida are always good to have on a schedule playing-wise. Conference games are definitely the most important. Stephen F. I don't think the overall identity of the conference has changed. We've been a good conference, and we are a good conference. There's more teams, I guess that's the change. The only thing that people really think about conferences is who the best teams are. We're going to have a lot of the best teams, like we always do.

We knew that Xavier is the best team in the conference or supposedly the best team in the conference. So to beat them on their home floor, it should be huge momentum for this season to try to get something going.

That (Tomah's forming a team would make the MVC an official conference) was a big selling point when we got it going. We knew with us coming in, it would be a conference sport. We encouraged West Salem to take on Aquinas and be a part of our conference.
